An Insult of Intelligence. By Dr. Mohamed Hassan Ali (Statesman) The primary gathering in Brussels Somali Donor Conference today was to raise funds for Somalia. But this mandate were labelled into another proposition which is also to raise funds for the African Union stationed in Somalia as the architect of the organisation weighted it both as an equal circumstances and conditions. Mr Ouled Abdullah, the architect who placed both the President and the Prime minister in power has proposed a financial aid for the ghosted Country ( Somalia) from this convention held today, the 22nd and the European Union Donor Conferences has pledged an aid of $31M for Somalia for the coming 12 months, while AMISOM, who is only has less than 4000 men has been granted for $134M for 12 months. Mr Abdullah never intended to discuss or made public except with his complicities. Even parliament has no prior knowledge because they made the speaker busy with his rival in Baidoa. This is a cynical game against the Somali Nation and it’s so called Government. We are all aware that half of the money will end up with the brokers in Addis and Nairobi in our name before it reaches the country,. I think we will hear a lot of cabinet resignations soon. Here are the questions need to be answered; • Where are the institution building funds? • Where is the coastal protection and anti-piracy program funds? • Where are the government infrastructures funds? • Can it cover Reconciliation efforts, education & school Equipments funds? • Any public works, Transportation & Environmental funds? • Anew country to rebuild. What’s the cost? On article three of summary press release of the conference, reaffirms that this $31m covers an intention to fight against what they called minority radical elements who adapt hard line stance against the government. Is this a declaration of war against other regions than Mogadishu and within Mogadishu? How thin is the skin of civilisation? How easily does it broke and become an open, suppurating wound. We were expecting such predictions for awhile and I have stated our defiance previously unless you come up a reasonable concessions that would cure all the wounds. This time I assure you that you succeeded pressuring the donkey into the river but you should know that you can’t force it drink. Our internal matter is very small when compared what others might benefit from our differences President Shariif, can choose between the lines of honest ness. Either listens his mango groups and get his share and leave with Treason like others or reject the aid of death for the best interest of Somalia, where he will openly earn the greatest trust within Somalis and will be able to walk on land for peace to Galgaduud, Lower Shabelle, lower Juba, Upper juba, Baidoa and Gedo and Bakool regions and call all Somalis to come together to raise funds of their own and start building their own lives by themselves in Islamic socialism if necessary and defend our sovereignty and independence. We urge The Obama administration’s representative to review the dossier and protect Somalia from Robbery. This is not humanitarian assistance. Join Us Together, We can do something.
