Lying is easy and uncovering the truth is difficult. The truth, quite apart from often being unacceptable and unpopular, is complex and nuanced. A lie is far simpler. Whatever the reasons behind lying may be, most of us support to be morally offended by them. Our Islamic Religion almost censures and condemns it. However, In the world we are living is somewhat more forgiving – perhaps in recognition that lying is deep-rooted in human nature and can be forgiven. The healing power of forgiveness can bring this bitterly divided Somali nation together after decades of war and inhumilation but not without consequances.
